This is the official homepage of Thomas Ryssel aka "Dasd". It's purpose is mainly to present myself and my projects, both private and official (in terms of work and/or university).
To learn more about the technical aspects of this page, have a look at "dasd.co.uk". Information about myself can be viewed under "About Dasd".
| 2009 / 04 / 19 | Thoughtful Victory Remake |
|---|---|
|
As stated in the in one of the last updates, a new machine has been purchased and put into "production". Now, the first work has been done with it: Thoughtful Victory (Remake 2009). This update is just to let you know that stuff is going on. The piece is still in a "beta" state and therefore can change anytime without further notice. I will post another news entry once I'm entirely satisfied with it. |

|
As the more frequent visitors (are there even any?) of this page might have noticed, the dasdblog has become more and more corrupt over the last few months. Even more noteworthy, no new content has been added in quite a while. These facts and the growing pollution of the database with spam have led to the decision to close the blog. I still have a database backup so the relevant content can be retrieved if neccessary. But I don't think that it will be. In order to save at least a bit of the information of the blog, the Links page has been added (in fact, it has replaced the blog page). This page features all the links to interesting resources that have been present in the blog. Hopefully, this database will grow in the future. Additionally, there is a minor technical update: the download script now also sends the size of the file that is downloaded, enabling browsers to show more accurate progress information and estimate the remaining download time. PS: Wow, the second update in such a short time. ;) |

... there was a time when I had actually time to work on this homepage. However it is not quite as if things have stood still. In the meantime I finished my diploma thesis and now I'm working at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. The results of the diploma thesis can be found at http://confeat.dasd.co.uk/. Additionally, there is a new entry for this project at the University Projects page. At the moment, I am at the verge of purchasing a new computer, which will greatly enhance my technical abilities music-wise. Therefore I should be able to come up with new productions in a not-too-far-away future. |
